Why is it that when some atrocity happens there is always a faction that pits it against another atrocity and finds it insufficient?

If you look deeper you will see that all these atrocities have one thing in common...lack of compassion. Whether it is for a lion, a fellow human or a condition. It is ALL atrocious. Finding one atrocious does not negate the atrocity of the others. The real atrocity is the human condition that propagates atrocity - any atrocity - in the first place. What is the common denominator?

The absence of Love.

Lack of Love for ourselves as we are, causes the atrocity of human on human crime.

Lack of Love for ourselves as we are, makes way for the atrocity of human on animal crime.

Lack of Love for ourselves as we are, can be seen in the atrocity of human on planet crime.

Someone coming from a place of Love will find no desire to participate in anything atrocious. It is the idea that we are separate beings from one another that is fertile ground for such things to germinate.

When we begin to revere the Earth as our legs, our animal brothers as our arms and our human brothers as our torso, it will not come so easy to harm them.
