Failure Is Not An Option

Warm Lights

What exactly is this 'failure' people are mentioning lately?

I don't recognize 'failure' any more than I do 'mistakes'. It is very incongruent with all the other things that are said to be true and that I believe. How can one 'fail' if "everything is exactly as it needs to be"? How can there be mistakes, if 'the Universe is conspiring on your behalf? How can there be either if you believe everything is a 'lesson or a blessin'?

If you berate yourself for mistakes, or tremble at the thought of failure then you are shouting out loud to the Universe that you do not believe it is indeed conspiring on your behalf, and that everything is not exactly as it needs to be!! You are negating all the good work you are doing and only inviting more opportunities for the Universe to help you change your state of mind!

The only thing 'failure' is, is evidence that you had expectations you had no business having. Make a plan, yes. It makes for a nice goal. But sometimes goals are only meant to get us headed in the direction we need to be in order to gain access (aka experience) to the path that we are truly meant to be on. How in any realm is that failure?

Life is like a road trip where you get to pick the direction you want to go but not the destination. If you make the mistake of picking the destination and then figuring out the route, yes, you will be disappointed because it is never going to go like that. If that is what you are doing, I can see why you use words like "failure" and "mistake"...because it is a mistake to do so and will surely set you up for failure.

If you feel like a failure or you have failed, you have not learned the lessons the Universe presented you with during those times. If you can't look back at your life and see exactly how everything lined up perfectly to this moment, then you are using an outdated model of thinking.

Do your best. In every moment, in every decision, action, word and thought...do your best. If you do your best you will cease to use words like 'failure' and 'mistake' because this kind of living doesn't leave room for it.

While you are at it, get rid of words like 'success' too. What?! I'm laying it on the line, now. You can't use success without then also believing in the word failure...at least the everyday use of success. If success for you is measured in achievements, external validating factors, there will always be such a thing as failure. However, if success for you is measured in love: quality of relationships and quality of energy exchange with your surroundings then there is never failure, only opportunities to improve. Which is a vast difference.

Failure is an ending word. It is a sad word. When you have failed, there is no getting better. There is no improvement. It is over and done. It cannot be undone. Which is incongruent!! We ALWAYS have tomorrow, or the very next minute to make something better!! Nothing is ever OVER until we transition from this plane to the next. And then only this plane existence is over for us (and then we will discover how truly non-relevant 'failure' really is!) Upon being interviewed about inventing the lightbulb the reporter asked Thomas Edison how it felt to fail 10,000 times. Thomas Edison responded "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

There is no failure, there is no mistake, there is just experience. Experiences you need in order to fully value the ones that follow. How much sweeter does a sweet grape taste if you first take a bite of a sour one? Do you condemn yourself for picking that sour one and deem yourself a failure then too?
